It is designed for use in fireplace and stove doors, where it protects people and the home from heat and sparks. Heat resistance, however, is not fire resistance, therefore the fire in the fireplace should not be directly against the glass, as the glass may break. These differ in their strength, appearance and price point, allowing you to find the solution that suits your needs.
