Fireplace glass
Heat-resistant glass, also known as fireplace glass (glass for fireplace and stove doors), is specially manufactured glass that is resistant to high temperatures. It is designed for use in fireplace and stove doors, where it protects people and the home from heat and sparks. Heat resistance, however, is not fire resistance, therefore the fire in the fireplace should not be directly against the glass.
Heat-resistant glass and heat tolerance
Heat-resistant glass is designed to withstand temperatures up to 700 degrees. Heat resistance, however, is not fire resistance, therefore the fire in the fireplace should not be directly against the glass, as the glass may break. Therefore, it is important to be familiar with fire safety principles.
