What is nanoprotection and how does it work?
Nanoprotection is a protective coating applied to glass that makes the glass significantly easier to clean from dirt, water and grease. At Klaasisepa we use the nanotechnology-based EnduroShield coating to make ordinary glass easy to clean. This helps you save water and cleaning chemicals and therefore reduce the environmental load. Nanoprotection can be ordered for glass and solutions purchased from us, but we also offer kits intended for home use.
Where and why is nanoprotection useful?
Nanoprotection is useful on all types of glass surfaces. For example, it is especially effective for roof windows and canopies, which can be difficult to clean. Surfaces that tend to get very dirty, such as roof windows or the glass surfaces of a glass terrace, remain clean after treatment simply thanks to rain. In the bathroom the advantage of nanoprotection is also noticeable, as cleaning shower glass becomes much easier and nanoprotection also reduces the growth of bacteria.
Maintaining glass with nanoprotection
The advantages of nanoprotection are long lifespan, easy maintenance and reduced dirt accumulation. Usually water and a microfiber cloth are sufficient for cleaning. Nanoprotection is not recommended if you plan to use paint or stickers on the glass surface, as it makes surfaces repellent to adhesives. Surfaces treated with nanoprotection should also not be rubbed with rough objects, as this may damage the protective layer. For glass cleaner we recommend Klaasisepa’s special glass cleaner.

All glass ordered from us can be supplied with EnduroShield nanoprotection. The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty for nanoprotection installed by us, ensuring that the glass maintains a new appearance, stays clean and is easy to clean. The kit intended for home use, designed for glass that is already in use, comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
